Support

At Hawk iMedia, we try very hard to ensure that our apps work well and without issues. Alas, we are only human and sometimes a bug gets by us.

How To Report A Bug

If you believe a feature of one of our apps is not working as you expect, please e-mail us at support@hawkimedia.com and include a deatiled description of what you think is not working as it should. If there are steps to reproduce the behavior, please include that detail in your note. The more detail, the better. Screenshots welcome.

How To Report A Crash

If you should experience a crash with one of our apps, we would certainly like to know about. In fact, you can help us diagnose the problem.

After an app crashes, it leaves behind a crash dump on your phone in the form of a text file. To get these files to us here at Hawk iMedia, please follow these steps:

Step 1

Sync your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iTunes.

Step 2

Find the crash logs on your computer. Here is where they’re located:

  • Mac OS X:
    ~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/MobileDevice/

  • Windows XP:
    C:\Documents and Settings\<USERNAME>\Application Data\Apple computer\Logs\CrashReporter\<DEVICE_NAME>

  • Windows Vista:
    C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Roaming\Apple  computer\Logs\CrashReporter\MobileDevice\<DEVICE_NAME>

The log file names start with application name and have the extension “crash”. The logs themselves are just text files, so you can open them in your text editor and cut-and-paste, or (preferably) attach them to an email. Which brings us to the next step.

Step 3

Send us an email with any details you can remember about when it happened, what you were doing at the time of the crash, what you saw, etc. Don’t forget to attach the crash reports you found above!

The email address is: support@hawkimedia.com

Thank You!
